HONOLULU (KHON2) — A mostly dry and sunny weather pattern will return Thursday and last through Saturday. Early next week, another cold front could bring increasing showers to the state Sunday and perhaps Monday. Cool temperatures will remain through the middle of next week.

Tonight and Thursday: Showers will decrease as a weather system moves away. Some lingering moisture near the Big Island may cause a few showers there.

Friday – Weekend: Trade winds will return, bringing more moisture and showers mainly to windward and mountain areas.

Sunday – Monday: A weak front will bring more rain to parts of the state.

Late Next Week: Another weather system may bring more rain, depending on its exact position.
