KAUAI, Hawaii (KHON2) — Cavity Free Kids, a team of volunteers aiming to teach keiki good dental practices, will visit Kauaʻi’s keiki on Feb. 16 at Healing Horses from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
The free event will have fun, educational activities for children of all ages, but particularly for children up to six. The first 100 keiki in attendance will get a free dental goodie bag.
There will also be parent engagement in conversations regarding the importance of establishing a solid dental foundation.
The event will be ran by volunteers from the mainland, and the program is adaptable to any environment and any keiki’s skill level.
Volunteers will show keiki how to practice proper tooth brushing techniques while using puppets, demonstrate proper flossing techniques with teeth costumes and do an activity teaching good food choice for healthy teeth.
The event will be led by Chris Tedesco of Buffalo, New York. For more information, visit Cavity Free Kids’ website.
