Hawaii Softball splits final day of opening weekend

The Hawaii Rainbow Wahine closed out action in the Bank of Hawaii Paradise Classic on Saturday.

Hawaii coming into the final day with a chance to secure a spot in the championship game against Santa Clara.

UH took to the bracket play at 12:30pm against Southern Indiana. Hawaii after no runs in the first 4 and a half innings, opened up the game with a 2-run 5th inning.

Hawaii would score 4 more runs in the 6th to go on to win 6-0.

In the Championship Game of the Classic, Hawaii and Santa Clara went head to head for the 2nd time in 3 days.

Hawaii not having the same success at the plate like the rest of the weekend, as UH only tallies 4 hits and allows 10 hits.

The Rainbow Wahine fall 3-0.

Next: Spring Fling Tournament at the Rainbow Wahine Softball Stadium starting on February 13th.
