HONOLULU (KHON2) — The Honolulu Police Department (HPD) has launched an attempted murder investigation in Kalihi after an incident Tuesday night left one man in critical condition.

The incident is said to have occurred sometime around 10:30 p.m.

Emergency Medical Services responded to a call where a patient had suffered an apparent gun shot wound.  EMS administered life-saving measures and transported him to an emergency room.

The patient is believed to be in his 30s.

The investigation is ongoing.
