The Hawaii Softball team was in their 2nd game of the Spring Fling Tournament in Manoa on Friday.
UH faced-off against Utah Tech in the final game of the 2nd day of action.
The Rainbow Wahine trailed 1-0 after the 2nd inning but was able to tie it up with an RBI Single from Thomas.
But in the 6th inning, the Trailblazers retook the lead after getting a RBI single to 3rd base.
Hawaii had one more chance to tie it or take the lead in the 7th inning after Murakami started the inning off with a double down the right field line for Hawaii’s only second hit of the game.
The Rainbow Wahine battled to get bases loaded in the 7th inning with only 1 out and a chance to make something happen. And Hawaii does just that.
Millie Fidge had a hit down the 3rd baseline that sent in 2-runs for the Hawaii win.
Hawaii wins 3-2 and improves to 6-1 on the season.
