KAANAPALI, Hawaii (KHON2) — Multiple first responder agencies on Maui are responding to an explosion in Kaanapali.

According to the Maui Fire Department, police, firefighters and paramedics are at the scene caring for the victims.

MFD added there is no additional threat.

The public is asked to avoid the area.
