Jaylin Sawyer wants to make sure all the ladies feel good on Valentine’s Day, especially if you don’t have a special someone right now.

“I’m single and there are a lot of single girls out there so, when you look good, you feel good,” said Jaylin Sawyer, Yaya & Pop Pop’s Beauty Paradise.

The hairstylist is hosting a Galentine’s “Get Ready with Me” event at her shop on Valentine’s Day night and Saturday, Feb. 15 morning.

“We’re gonna have mimosas, wine, snacks and just so girls can gather around here if they don’t have much to do if they’re getting ready to go out,” said Sawyer.

Vivistop Honolulu is usually a creative space for teens, but it’s launching its “Never Too Late To Be A Kid Again” series on Valentine’s night to help adults potentially find a new love.

“It’s for everyone and we chose Valentine’s Day cause it’s a great day to you know, find a new passion which doesn’t have to be a specific person, but it could be a new hobby,” said Seiya Yoshida, Vivistop Honolulu Executive Director.

Participants will learn how to make magnets and mini bouquets while enjoying a movie.

“You don’t have to be a couple right to enjoy? Exactly,” said Yoshida. “Yes, you don’t have to be a couple, singles can come. You can make new friends. Bring your mom even. Even better. Or just bring your friends too. Guys. Girls whoever it is.”

The event is BYOB. All proceeds will go towards Vivistop’s youth development programs.

Valentine’s Day is a day about love, but there is a flip side to that coin. For those people, there are some options.

Break’n Anger is a rage room. They’re having a 25 percent off Valentine’s special all weekend.

“People who have gone through breakups, or people who have gotten divorced, or left at the altar we had two years ago, so it’s a bunch of different people,” said Mark Gaulke, Break’n Anger.

“You get a lot of first dates as well,” said Gaulke. “You can learn a lot about someone you know when they go into that rage mode.”

The bottom line is that everyone should enjoy the day no matter their relationship status.

“Like I said, when you look good, you feel good,” said Sawyer. “So I just want them to know that even though you’re single, it’s still okay.”
