MILILANI, Hawaii (KHON2) — Honolulu police officials are investigating a crash in Mililani that hospitalized a motorcyclist in critical condition.
The 911 call came in shortly after 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 15 in the southbound lanes of the H2 Freeway near Meheula Parkway.
Officials said the 23-year-old male motorcyclist was speeding down the freeway when he lost control of the motorcycle.
He then collided with a guardrail and was thrown onto the roadway.
Paramedics with Honolulu Emergency Medical Services administered advanced life-support to the motorcyclist before transporting him to the hospital.

According to HPD, a helmet was found at the scene, but it is unclear if he was wearing it during the collision.
