KAPOLEI, Hawaii (KHON2) — Honolulu firefighters received an early morning wakeup following a diesel fire in Kapolei.
The 911 call came in shortly before 3 a.m. when a gasoline diesel fuel fire was reported at the rear of a facility on Kaomi Loop.
Multiple HFD and Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting units responded to the flames shortly and evacuated all facility personnel before applying foam to the fire.
Honolulu Emergency Medical Services was also present for the incident.
At approximately 4:24 a.m., first responders were able to contain 75% of the flames.
