HONOLULU (KHON2) — Owner, Mellani Myatt, and Manager, Cheantel Kim, joined Wake Up 2Day to share details on their new shave ice truck hot spot.

Starting in 2023, Mellani shared the reason she started her business.

“My family inspired me. My whole family loves shave ice but it’s hard to find a healthier alternative so I just started coming up with my own recipes at home using real fruit and pure cane sugar with no artificial colors or flavors.”

With an array of locally inspired and unique flavors, Island Girl Shave Ice prides itself on all-natural ingredients free from artificial colors and sweeteners.

For Valentine’s Day, enjoy “Cupid’s Arrow” a strawberry and cream shave ice flavor with mochi and strawberry toppings.

Besides their weekly Wednesday pop-ups in Ewa Beach, you can book them for private events and weddings.
