HONOLULU (KHON2) — On Saturday, Feb. 15, a 23-year-old male motorcyclist was on the H-2 Freeway when he lost control and collided with a guardrail.
Officials said he was traveling at a high speed when he lost control and it’s unknown whether or not he was wearing a helmet, but one was found at the scene.
He was taken via Emergency Medical Services to an area hospital in critical condition.
On Monday, Feb. 17, the Honolulu Medical Examiner’s Office notified the Honolulu Police Department, Traffic Division, Vehicular Homicide Section that the 23-year-old male motorcyclist had succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
The investigation remains ongoing.
