Woman found dead in Waikiki dumpster identified

HONOLULU (KHON2) — The Medical Examiner has identified the woman found dead in a dumpster in Waikiki on Feb. 11 as 72-year-old Elizabeth Nolin.

Her body was found in the early morning hours after Nolin’s fiancé, 87, reported her missing. According to her fiancé, Nolin left their apartment on Kapahulu Avenue around 8 p.m. and did not return.

According to the assistant property manager of Nolin’s residence, she and her fiancé come to the islands frequently from Canada.

At this time, authorities have not released information regarding Nolin’s cause of death. The incident is under investigation.
