WAIPAHU, Hawaii (KHON2) — Multiple Honolulu Fire Department units were dispatched to Waipahu to extinguish a two-story residential building fire.
Dispatch received the 911 call around 11:15 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 8 when a working fire was reported at a building on Waikele Road.
More than 40 firefighters responded to the incident. Upon arrival, officials said they secured a water supply and commenced an aggressive fire attack.
A search confirmed there were no occupants inside the structure at the time of the incident.
Fire officials brought the fire under control nearly 25 minutes later and fully extinguished it shortly before 1 a.m.
No injuries were reported and all HFD personnel were accounted for.
