LĪHUʻE, Hawaiʻi (KHON2) — Kauaʻi police are investigating an early morning incident that left one man dead at Līhu‘e Airport on Wednesday, Feb. 26.
Airport Law Enforcement Officers requested the help of Kauaʻi police around 4:30 a.m. to assist with a disorderly man.
When officers arrived, officials said they found a 53-year-old man detained by two Airport LEOs and an airline employee.
Officers noticed he needed medical assistance and began administering CPR and gave him Narcan.
Paramedics were also called to the scene to administer advanced resuscitation efforts before transporting him to Wilcox Medical Center.
The man, who police identified as Harley Morris, was pronounced dead at the hospital.
KPD officials said an autopsy has been scheduled to determine how he died.
An investigation remains ongoing.
